Nightfall's Nest: Basement

Xellos the ruthless

Before I start--the difference between RealPlayer and RealOne snapshots aside-- anybody else like the top animator better? The difference between Prince Valient and split ends is the least of it...

Anyway. If you recall from the first page, where he was shown grinding the pointy end of his staff into Valgaav's arm, Xellos is not above a little game of racks'n'thumbscrews. On that occasion he was acting like a mobster and graciously explaining to Val the price of saying no to the Greater Beast.

One must assume that he was acting in his capacity as her general and with unusually explicit instructions, however. He carts the pointy staff around everywhere, of course, but by far his favorite weapon is the sharp side of his tongue.

Harsh.

Harsh. You know, if I heard someone say that to me in Ishida's voice, I think I'd cry. And if I'd heard it in Moo's, I'd aim right for the nose. Filia, I believe, does both, and in the process extricates herself from a sticky situation without making Lina rescue her.

(She also stomps over an inhabited area like Godzilla on steroids, but this isn't the forum for my opinion of Golden Dragons.)

You've done a bad thing.

'Course, he uses his weapon for his own personal entertainment, as well.
No one never said he was a saint.
